Thresholds 2026
Retreat Highlights

A dream became a weekend. A weekend became a community.
Thresholds began as an idea more than a year ago. A vision. A feeling. A wondering of what might happen if we created a space where people could come together—many as strangers—and simply be given permission to show up authentically. And then August came... and the dream became real.
We witnessed laughter and tears. Vulnerability and courage. Healing and connection. Quiet moments and loud ones. Conversations around tables and fires. People allowing themselves to be seen, heard, supported, and cared for. Strangers arrived. A community left. And somewhere within all of those moments, we began weaving a different story to carry forward.
There are so many people who made this possible. Brittney Filipetti, who held our Cacao Ceremony and Fire Attunement—your passion, your own beautiful fire, and your dedication to the medicine and this community were inspiring. Nina Peters, who guided our morning movement and sound as well as the Air Attunement—your gentleness and grace offered such a beautiful way to begin our days, and the breath you brought into the space carried so much joy. Lexi Seida, who guided us through Emotions Within the Body—your grounding presence and the education you brought to the labour of our emotions offered us a powerful way to understand what we carry. Aimee and Zahara who held our fireside circles and Water Attunement—your hearts, voices, music, and presence brought a beautiful depth and feminine essence to our weekend. Clint Meier, who opened a conversation around the Sacred and Safe Masculine—your honesty, words, and willingness to be vulnerable created space for a conversation that mattered. Cindy Chipchase, who held the Rite of the Womb/Root, Rose Ceremony, and Earth Attunement—your presence brought an ancient wisdom and a settling into the space that could be felt. To those who stepped into the kitchen beside me, washed dishes, chopped food, carried things, solved problems, tended fires, and quietly helped behind the scenes—thank you.
And to every single person who attended... You said yes without really knowing what this weekend would become. You trusted the vision. You showed up.
You allowed yourselves to be witnessed, and you witnessed one another. For that, I hold the deepest gratitude.
When we dream something into being, we can imagine what it might become—but we don't really know until we step across the threshold and live it.
This weekend grew beyond my dreams. And perhaps that is the greatest gift of all. Thresholds is no longer simply my vision.
It has a story now... It has memories... It has a community... It is alive.
And yes... I am already dreaming about what we will create together next year.
To everyone who helped bring the first Thresholds into being: Thank you.
We came together as strangers. We left as something more.
In deepest gratitude
Kareen
